West of Scotland MSP Pam Gosal has called out the dangers of vaccine misinformation after one of Scotland’s largest secondary schools has apologised after it was duped into sharing dangerous vaccination misinformation with parents.
Clydebank High School sent out a fake consent checklist email that described the Covid-19 vaccine as “experimental” and repeated the myth that it may cause infertility. The document featured an NHS logo.
Pam Gosal MSP said: “There are serious questions for the council to answer as to why this occurred.
“The SNP government must liaise closely with local authorities to ensure that robust measures are in place to guarantee this sort of anti-vaccine information does not become commonplace in schools.”
